Autumn in the New Forest

On an unusually sunny Monday morning a few weeks ago, I took a drive to the forest to capture my favourite part of the New Forest in the Autumn.

My chosen destination was Blackwater on the Ornamental Drive in Rhinefield, Brockenhurst. Having been here numerous times, I had yet to explore the Aboretum, therefore I decided to start here and work my way back to more familiar territory.

I love this part of the forest so much because it is peaceful, it covers such a vast area that one is able to explore without seeing many other people, this makes for much more atmospheric photographs, as can be seen below.
